Austin-based Envision Creative Group has hired Jetté Momant to lead its new communications department.

Momant’s background in food-related marketing and public relations is a good fit with Envision Creative’s new focus on the food and beverage industry, said David Smith, president and CEO of Envision Creative.

“Jetté’s well-rounded approach to hospitality marketing, and clear view of the future of social media, will ensure our position on the forefront of creative firms,” Smith said. “Our goals for next five years will be to leverage our considerable experience and success in the food and beverage, health care and hospitality industries.”

Momant will lead the newly created communications department as director of communication. Momant will no longer run Jetté Momant PR and Events, a business she founded in 2009. Her past roles include serving as brand manager and director of marketing for local beverage company Kohana Coffee, and marketing manager for Murphy Adam’s Restaurant Group, which franchises Mama Fu’s Asian Group.

“Austin is quickly becoming a foodie destination hot spot,” Momant said. “Envision found something they loved — food — and we’re good at designing for food and beverage clients.”

Envision’s food industry clients include Sea Island Restaurant Group, Haddington’s American Tavern, Julio’s Chips and Salsa, Texas Tea and Texas Springs Water.
