Envision Creative Partners with Make-A-Wish for Annual ‘Over the Edge’ Event

For the fifth year in a row, Envision Creative, an Austin-based marketing and design agency, partnered with the Central and South Texas chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation for their annual Over the Edge event. With Envision’s marketing and design help, Make-A-Wish raised $607,636—enough for 110 wishes. This was a record-breaking year.

Each year, adventurers from all over the nation have the opportunity to overlook Austin as they rappel down a building in the middle of downtown to support Make-A-Wish. All money raised by rappellers goes to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. In Austin, participants had to raise at least $1,500 to fight their fears and rappel down the 38 stories of the The W Hotel.

Envision Creative donated all its design services for the event, including web design, social and print ads, and banners gracing the side of the W. Every year, since 2013, Envision team members have rappelled for the cause. This year, Sarah Mayer and Michael Gabriel represented the agency as this year’s fearless rappellers.

“We truly appreciate all of the work Envision does for us every year. All of the collateral Envision creates and edits is much of the face of Over the Edge and ultimately plays a huge part in how many sponsorships and participants we have,” stated Courtney Gremillion, Special Events Manager at Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas. “Over the Edge is our biggest fundraiser and we wouldn’t be able to reach nearly as many kiddos without it.”

Stephanie Silver, Vice President of Envision Creative Group, speaks to the privilege she feels in her team’s partnership with Make-A-Wish: “The wishes themselves make a huge impact in helping kids get better. Having any small part of that is such an honor,” Stephanie said.

Envision will soon be beginning artwork for Make-A-Wish’s 2018 Over the Edge event.
