(AUSTIN, TX – October 27, 2008) The work of Envision Creative Group, an Austin based graphic design and advertising agency, has been chosen to be included in LogoLounge Volume 5. The judging session was incredibly competitive with over 33,000 logos entered for consideration and only 2,000 being chosen for inclusion. However, the work of Shay Isdale, lead designer at Envision, was chosen for inclusion in the new book by an international panel of judges. This years panel included, Andreas Karl of Karl Design, Von Glitschka of Glitschka Studios, Michelle Sonderegger of Design Ranch, Sarah Moffat of Turner Duckworth, Jamie Koval of VSA Partners, Vince Frost of Frost Design, Bronwen Rautenbach of The Brand Union, and Alex de Janosi of Lippincott.
The logo to be included in the next edition was created for the small Austin business, Let Them Eat Cupcakes. Let Them Eat Cupcakes specializes in custom-decorated cupcakes in more than a dozen flavors, including margarita and s’mores. The cupcakes are delivered directly to the customers’ doors. Of course, the name of the business is reminiscent of the saying coined by Marie-Antoinette, who was also an inspiration for the logo.
The Fifth volume in the best-selling LogoLounge series will provide 2,000 entirely new logos from designers worldwide. This book, like the previous titles in the series, is compiled in association with LogoLounge.com, a website that was launched by Bill Gardner in 2002.
